Featured Blogger of the Week: Rachael

Today we are featuring Rachael from Growing Up with JahBella.

Rachael is a full-time working mum with 2 kids (Jah – going on 4 and Bella going on 2). As a couple, Rachael and her husband have ticked quite a number of boxes when it comes to dating and marriage challenges. Think a 3 year long distance relationship and an inter-racial marriage and wedding to boot. But no one quite prepared them for the roller-coaster ride, in the form of two super funny, super opinionated, super energetic, and definitely super opposites little versions of themselves!

Featured Blogger of the Week: Zoe

This week we are featuring Zoe from Bake for Happy Kids.

"Sometimes I wonder why I am here and why I am doing this. I didn’t plan to be a mum and live in Australia. I can’t even bake a decent cake during my secondary school days. Now I’m baking sandwich breads for our everyday." says Zoe.

Zoe is a Singaporean mum living in Australia. She loves to bake for her family and friends and never thought that she would start baking and writing a blog about it. As a mum, giving her family the best nutrition is always her priority. At the same time, she wishes to explore food with a little fun and art. 

Her son started baking with her since he was three. They like to explore the taste of different food from a vast variety of cultures and recipes together. She has also been imparting everything that she knows about Singapore to her son through food. For example, they baked pineapple tarts for Chinese New Year, mooncakes for mid-autumn festival and pandan chiffon cakes or Liu Sha Bao for teatime and snack. They also cooked mee hoon kueh or lor (braised) chicken for dinners. She likes to explain the origins of these Singapore food and is happy that her son has been appreciating them.
